		What tricks do you use to get people to use threads in Slack, Google Chat, etc? Reminding them doesn’t work! Shaming doesn’t work!

you keep using them, one day one person will see the point and click and they will use it too; and it will snowball.

Definitely don't be a pain about it.

Why do they really need it? Except satisfying your teaching ambitions :)
