Isn't it a miracle! It's fantastic, I've been reading old computer magazines from the 80s and 90s on archive.org, and the costs to set yourself up back then were just astronomical. I remember seeing C compilers priced at $300, or even more.
I’m just 40, I started programming in 87, got serious around 93, I remember getting my hands on a copy of turbo pascal from a family friend - not expensive but was for a kid and it was amazing.
Now I grumble if it’s a pain to install a massive open source tool chain for free and these days it’s rarely painful.
I should stop and appreciate that more once in a while.
